Simple Pattern_2D

Exploring Simple Animations for 2D Zoetrope.

Each animation is 24frames and need more exploration to find the right animation for my 2d Zeotrope.

Strobe's Hertz adjustable projects the first prototype was done this week. The propose of this project is to complete the last term's Zeotrope project.

TouchDesigner_Trace movments

This week I have done an experiment with depth Camera using Kinect. In the program 'TouchDesigner' I could track the positions and use particle effect to visualize the tracked motions.

It gave me an insight into how to express past movements and a chance to try the program 'TouchDesigner'. But while I was using 'TouchDesigner' I had difficulty to control the various effects cause of my lack of backgrounds of coding.

Here is the result of 'TouchDesigner' this week.


Rolling shutter Effect Experiment

Experiments to understand the Rolling Shutter Effect.

Rolling Shutter Effect is a visual effect to understand that not all parts of the image of the video are recorded at exactly the same instant. So it makes a unique pattern with the distortion of the object that is moving.

Digital Temporality(Time lapse)

Timelapse

시간을 표현하기 위해 '타임랩스'를 활용하였다. 타임랩스의 원리는 일정한 간격의 시간으로 사진을 촬영하는 방식이다. 1초에 30frame이라고 가정한다면, 1초에 사진한 장씩을 촬영하면 영상 1초에 30초를 담는 담을 수 있는 방식이다. 이 기술은 시간의 흐름으로 인한 환경 변화를 보여주기 좋은 방식이다.

나는 이 표현 방식을 활용하여 창문에서 들어오는 햇빛의 기울기 변화를 통한 시간의 흐름을 보여주고 하였다.

I used 'Timelapse' to express time. Timelapse is a technique whereby the frequency at which film frames are captured (the frame rate) is much more spread out than the frequency used to view the sequence. When played at normal speed, time appears to be moving faster and thus lapsing. 

I used Timelapse to capture the difference between the sunlight that comes through the window.

제작 프로세스
1. Ax700을 활용하여 타임랩스 영상을 촬영한다. 
( F:자동 / ISO:자동 / Shutterspeed:4 )
2. 촬영한 영상을 에프터이펙트를 활용하여 편집 후 Export한다.

PROCESS
1. Using AX700(sony) filmed a Timelapse video
(F:auto / ISO:auto / Shutterspeed:4 )
2. Using Adobe Aftereffect Timestrech I shorten the full video and imput music to the video and exported it to a mp4 format.
